OPINION FARMLANDS Tuesday, 27th January 2026 If there are attacks on farmlands in one part of a nation which sells and provides agricultural produce to that part of that nation and other parts of that nation, then at some point this would reduce the amount of agricultural produce available in the food-producing part, which would in turn reduce revenues and ultimately impoverish agriculturalists in those areas which have had attacks on their farmlands. However, those areas which rely on agricultural produce from those other producing areas would have shortfalls at some point if the situation persists and, if acute, could lead to starvation. The areas which produce would still have food because they produce but cannot sell as much, thus impoverishment is a more feasible result than starvation. However, if this is very severe and attacks on farmlands intensify, then at some point even the producing areas may encounter starvation. That shall not prevail. Agricultural terr...
