- Geography: Composed of a peninsula of Eurasia, featuring varied landscapes from the Mediterranean south to the Nordic north. Russia is the largest country by area, while Vatican City is the smallest.
- European Union (EU): A political and economic union of 27 countries, operating with a single market, a common currency (the euro) in many member states, and promoting goals such as peace, economic growth, and freedom of movement.
- Economy & Culture: A major global economic power, with key industries including tourism (France is the world's most visited country). It is known for its diverse history, including the Industrial Revolution and the Renaissance.
- Current Focus: Recent priorities include a transition to clean energy, with proposed regulations to boost zero-emission vehicles, particularly within corporate fleets.
- Total Import Value (2023): Raw materials imports were valued at US\(\$483,594\) million, representing a \(17.81\%\) share of total imports.
- Volume (2023): The total volume of trade (imports + exports) of raw materials between the EU and the rest of the world was 358 million tonnes.
- Key Partners (2022-2023): Major sources for imports include the Russian Federation, United States, Norway, United Kingdom, and Brazil.
- Top Imports: The EU is highly dependent on imports for metal ores and fossil energy materials, while focusing on transforming these into high-value finished products.
- Africa-EU Trade: Raw materials exported from the EU to Africa in 2023 were valued at roughly 3 billion euros.
- Volume: In 2023, the EU imported 358 million tonnes of raw materials.
- Value: In 2023, the value was US\(\$483.6\) billion.
While my solution was driven primarily by economic considerations, that does not have to be the situation in all instances. So, instead of importing fungicide, me who write this found a local source of Antifungal and applied it. This is what me who write this physically mean. This is because the Cocoyam leaves have the property of fighting bacteria and fungus and the fungicide also fights fungus. Therefore, leveraging what is locally available, me who write this physically am able to achieve the same outcome, which is healthy plant growth. With this sort of approach, Europe may also end up saving tens of billions of Dollars or Euros or much more each year and bring more jobs back to Europe because of local processing of raw materials.
Another instance is the cleaning of toilets, which requires reagents that could be quite expensive to purchase. Leveraging Cocoyam leaves helps provide a local solution since it has been some months since the products could be bought in this residence. This, for me, is a very special instance because the level of efficacy was a surprise even to me who write this physically that was doing the practical cleaning.

Plantain Trees have many properties which can provide input for manufacturing a wide range of products.
'Yes, plantain (and similar banana) plants grow in Europe, but commercial cultivation is limited to warm, subtropical regions like the Canary Islands (Spain), Crete (Greece), and parts of southern Italy. They thrive in areas with high humidity and warmth, often appearing in tropical-themed gardens in milder parts of the UK and Ireland, but generally not in the cold climate of Northern or Eastern Europe.
Key Details on European Plantain Cultivation Commercial Growing Areas: The Spanish Canary Islands are the main producer, followed by small-scale cultivation in Cyprus and southern Greece.
Climate Restrictions: Plantains are tropical plants that are highly sensitive to frost, generally needing temperatures above -4°C (\(25^{\circ}F\)) to survive.'
Me who write this physically have recommended some of the products from plantain trees to different nations. Since plantain trees can also be grown in Europe, finding out which properties of plantain trees can help manufacture products on the Continent of Europe could be a great advantage.
This is practical and absolutely phenomenal. In my opinion, this will be so successful for the Continent of Europe that more and more products will be either wholly made from raw materials from the Continent of Europe and or mostly made from raw materials from the Continent of Europe. In my own personal parlance, this will create what appear as 'miracles' just so amazing it's believable because people can see it practically.
Another benefit is that European innovators, meaning innovators on the Continent of Europe, will begin to develop products with the mindset of properties found locally in Europe.
For instance, when designing a product, it's not enough just for it to work, but it should also leverage local raw materials. For instance, hundreds of millions of people on the Continent of Europe have used printers in some form, either their own or a company printer or a school printer or a hotel printer or a shopping centre printer and so forth. Printers require printer ink which requires certain raw materials to develop.
'Plantain leaves (Plantago major or Ribwort plantain) can be used to create natural dyes, generally producing yellow-green, gold, or brown tones. The leaves contain tannins, flavonoids, and organic acids that can be extracted to color natural fibers.'
Therefore, what aspects of printer ink can be obtained from Plantain trees? If some of the plantain trees can be grown in Europe, this will help reduce imports of raw materials for making printer ink.
In conclusion, it is my sincere hope that hundreds of billions of Dollars and Euros will be saved by the Continent of Europe in the coming decades from raw material imports and that there will be a tremendous strengthening of local raw materials provision for industries in Europe and perhaps for certain raw materials in abundance, opportunities for export if necessary.
