'APARTHEID' IN THE NAME OF NOISE

Friday 24th April 2026

Those who are trying to impose restrictions on fundamental freedoms and civil liberties are doing that in the name of noise. The following is a short article which starts to show what the perpetrators are really doing.

The first thing is that the perpetrators are really using noise as an instrument of coercion and oppression. They are going about this in a mostly extremist and ultraist manner, so that people become afraid and unwilling to refuse the criminality and oppression they seek to impose. That shall not prevail through any means, manner or form.

Second, the perpetrators do not recognise that there is a basic level of sound made with any human endeavour, which means that 'graveyard silence' is exactly what it is for the graveyard. This is not feasible where living people are residing or exist. Therefore, the greatest challenge with the perpetrators is that they expect people to make no noise at all. The following Internet address shows the challenges with this.

AVERAGE DAILY NOISE LEVELS

The third aspect is that the perpetrators are of the opinion that once it is dark, perhaps at 7pm or thereabouts, there should be no sound from any compound till daybreak, perhaps near 7am the next day. Within this time, they don't want doors or gates opened and closed, they don't want food cooked, they don't want toilets flushed, they don't want plates washed, they don't want people to bathe and fill up and or empty buckets with water; they don't want people to talk in their front and or back yards, and they don't even want people to use their generators, but that has been shown to be completely unrealistic for the conditions in this nation. Therefore, the perpetrators are basically saying that 12 hours of the day should be non-productive and they are seeking to effect this by coercion and or plain criminality. Therefore, what is really happening is that people are being primed to be oppressed.

Fourth, what the perpetrators are really trying to enforce is not so much wholesale cruelty but rather a form of 'apartheid'. That is because they are allowed to make noise as they please, slam doors, slam gates, make intentional hitting noises at any time of the night or day. Therefore, what they are really seeking is to impose a system where one part of the population dominates and controls the other part of the population, which is considerable discrimination. For instance, if a person is shouting on the street, that is not noise, but if me who write this physically play a programme at a very low volume in a part of the backyard garden, it is noise. Therefore, this is really an 'apartheid' system the perpetrators are trying to impose.

Fifth, is that the perpetrators are really trying to economically incapacitate the people further. Economic incapacitation can be a precursor to a crime against humanity because the weakened economic situation of the people makes it much more arduous to resist the diverse aggressions involved in trying to effect a crime against humanity.

For instance, if a person has a kiosk and has to close by 7pm what this means is that if the person could close by 10pm or later no less than 3 hours of sales would be lost. If that person is able to generate 2, 000 Naira within that three-hour period, then if that occurs for 30 days in one month, then that is perhaps 60,000 Naira in lost revenues because of an oppressive system. This is in a nation where over one hundred million people are in poverty. This economically incapacitates such a person, making the existing larger economic hardship that much more cruel.

In conclusion of this article, it is my strong opinion from my own practical experience that another very important reason for this 'apartheid' system is to prevent people from being concerned or being able to show concern if another resident is in danger. If people are afraid to speak at night, then even if they sense that another resident may be in trouble, they will be afraid to speak out because of fear of reprisals from the perpetrators. Therefore, such a situation is perfect for attacking people on an individual level or a household level and the likelihood that other residents would try to thwart that is reduced in a considerable manner. This has occurred to me who write this physically who have had damage done to some of my phones and solar panels while in the compound, and even perpetrators' damage in my room, which is locked, a brand new rechargeable light bulb. This makes people fear for themselves and not be concerned so much about others.

This is written because me who write this physically am a constant victim of the aggression of these perpetrators and when all their shenanigans have failed they claim their evil conduct and attacks are because of noise. That shall not prevail through any means, manner or form.

The need for moderation is most important. This does not mean that people start slamming doors till late at night, but what these perpetrators are trying to do is to make the issue of noise an on or off issue which is not human.
